Play-Doh was invented in 1956, one would think that after over 50 years of having a company that they would have an excellent Quality Assurance department, however, after purchasing this toy, we have learned that they do not. You would think having been in business for this amount of time that play-doh would have perfected every option on such a toy, ease of use to a 3+ year old, easily cleanable for parents, but this isnt the case.

The toy, once put together is a nightmare to store and clean. It's also a challenge to even make the actual ice cream, it's ridiculous how much strength that you need to push the play doh through the holes to create the ice cream effect, and the actual concept of even getting in there is far above a 3 year old (which the box recommends.)

However, the pegs are very hard to push through the black template paper (virtually impossible actually) and once they are in they don't stay. We tried to create our own designs w/out using paper but the pegs are even less stable that way and fall out immediately. The toy does not function properly at all and is useless! Unfortunately this toy was a gift and I do not have the receipt or I would return it for a refund. First, I have to say that I loved playing Operation when I was a kid. Now I love playing with this pen as the big kid I am at 42.

My sister got this for me as a birthday present, because she knew I loved playing this game. I am so glad she bought this for me, as I really enjoy how cute it is; and it is also a challenge to try to get all the bones out with the tiny tweezers without getting "buzzed".

I would not purchase this for a child with the expectation that they will not break either the tweezers or the little plastic bones which are attached to the interior of the pen with what looks like fishing line. I have had my pen, intact, for the past 3 years. I don't try to pull the bones out too far, or pull out the tweezers too far from the top of the pen. I agree with the other reviewer who said that adults would probably appreciate it more than kids.

I also think the pen itself is a nice writing instrument. Not the best quality but pretty good. I use it at my desk daily.

Overall, I think this is a fun pen, and I would recommend it to any other big kid out there who enjoys the game.

I bought this game as a gift, and haven't yet heard how the recipient likes it, but after looking over the game myself, I am rather satisfied with what it is.

This particular version is a few years old and you can tell in the design, but it still functions like a Jeopardy game. The setup is quite straight forward, and while resetting in between rounds might be a slight hassle, overall it's rather user-friendly. The little thumb clickers for "buzzing in" are kind of cheesy because they are a glorified version of a bottle cap, and while I have not witnessed how well they work in-play, they would be my only harsh critique of the game.

My football fanatic son (12 years old) loves these things - we have them for a few other teams as well. They are not big enough for him to play with outside with his friends, but they are PERFECT for inside.

When we watch football, for 10+ hours every Sunday during football season, he wants a football in his hands at all times, and he loves to toss it up and down as he watches, or have a few passes with us during commercials. This ball is great for that because it's small so he can hold it in one hand and it's soft so I don't mind him tossing it in the house.

As I said, we have 3 or 4 of these so I can address durability: They last about 2 years and then they start peeling and crumbling. I think $15 is money well spent on 2 years of fun.

A word about price: Occasionally, and randomly, amazon will have one team or another's ball priced at $85 which is ridiculous. Of course I don't recommend buying these at that price!

This is a really cute game for the younger elementary set. My 6 year old and I can get through a game in 30 minutes, which is perfect for before dinner, or while his sister is in the bath. You MUST have seen the movie to play as it requires players to imitate characters from the movie. The "battles" are a matter of rolling dice to match pictures and it is very easy set up and very easy to play. My 3 year old was occupied with rolling the dice for me.

One thing you need to watch, though, and it bothers me a little, is that some of the impersonations require players to re-create bodily functions such as burping. Trying to teach my children manners takes a backseat here. They get off track and have silly little burp-fests going on. It can get tiring.

All in all, it is a good game and a perfect way to fill a half hour and spend some fun time with your kid!

The Classic Games Collection from Hasbro contains four games: Clue, Life, Monopoly, and Scrabble.

The best game of all four contained in the collection is undeniably Clue. It's too hard to play it with another player, and the more opponents involved, the better. Clue offers that with up to five computer players with three different levels: novice, normal, and expert. I went by each of three different levels, and there is a difference in terms of solving the mystery. The expert level feels pretty good and appropriate with no cheating like knowing the clues ahead of time or what cards I have. So, I was satisfied with the game play although I feel that every time somebody suggests three clues, it goes pretty fast. At the same time, it causes me a headache to watch the lighting and the animation video. If I turn it off, the asking of the clues goes real fast that I am more than certain to miss everything. It's just that I want to see that feature fixed up like the asking of each character in a list compiled by the computer. I don't want to use the auto-scribing of the clues because that completely takes away the basic concept of the game. Regardless, I've had a lot of fun playing Clue. As a word of warning, Clue will more likely not work on your PC because of some malfunction, but for me, it seemed to work just fine on my HP laptop with Vista Windows.

Life is, in my opinion, the worst game of this collection because it's so boring and requires nothing but luck. The game is mostly point-and-click and landing on spaces after a spin. My chief complaint of Life is that the game board is too big to see everything. So, if I want to see the spinner, I can't see where I am moving to, and if I want to see where I am moving to, I can't see the spinner. Most of the time, I don't know what the heck is going on except for pluses and minuses of the monetary sums. After a while, the game gets dreadfully boring. For anyone else interested and liked the game a lot, the CD works fine without a glitch.

Monopoly is a game I've liked but gotten bored after a few games. The concept behind Monopoly is pretty simple: get the grouped cards, build houses/hotels, and grab the money. The hardest part of the game is getting the grouped cards especially with as many as five opponents. Luckily, Monopoly allows trading, and that's where your game either gets made or broken. Like Clue, there are three levels of AI's intelligence, and I find the Tycoon level the hardest and haven't beaten that one yet. Still, I am pretty impressed overall. The game can be slow because I have to wait for each opponent to roll and move his piece, but worse is the annoying trade proposals which will halt the game for a while because I have to watch them. Overall, Monopoly is a very decently made PC game without any glitch.

Scrabble is actually a game for me because I've thought myself as a semi-hardcore player at it, but I've quit it due to addiction. There are many levels of AI's intelligence, and don't be angry that you find some of them extremely unfair. It's so because they know the dictionary inside-and-out, and yes...the words are valid, if you can believe it or not. So, how to get back to the AI: simple...memorize the dictionary. That's all there is to it. The CD went without a glitch.

As soon as you turn the game on it greets you and shows you a cute little clip of different Pokemon go by! When you use it for the first time, it asks you whether you want to be Ash (a boy trainer) or May (a girl trainer). Turning it off and back on after that, it gives you the choice to change trainers if you want.
After that is taken care of you will be taken to the Main Menu, where you choose what you want to do with your Pokedex. The Pokedex even speaks to you, reading each name for you! Modes are: Scan Mode, Index Mode, Game Mode, Info Mode, and Volume Settings.
In Scan Mode you search an area for Pokemon to catch! Moving the cursor around and pressing the A button to search. A few beeps here and there and suddenly you've got a Pokemon in front of you! Then you have to catch it by choosing one of three rocks. If you pick the right one then the Pokemon is yours! The more rare the Pokemon the more points you get.
In Index Mode you can go through your Pokedex and get information on the Pokemon you have seen or caught. It includes: How many you have caught, the height (and it shows you on a scale compared to a real person), the weight (also compared to a real person, but I don't understand it), and the Evolutions of that Pokemon (the voice tells you the levels of the Pokemon's evolution also).
In Game Mode you can play: Who's that Pokemon (as seen on the TV show), What Evolution level (a little harder, for advanced players), What Type Pokemon, and Who Has The Advantage. All of the games are played with multiple choices and give you points towards your level!
In Info Mode it tells you your game stats! These include: Your level as a trainer, how many points you have, the number of NEW Pokemon as well as the TOTAL number of Pokemon you've found, and your favorites list, which you can edit.
The Volume Settings are very easy to figure out, and you may want to turn it down, because the default setting is kind of loud. If your child (or you!) wants to play this thing non-stop the talking and beeping will get on someones nerves eventually, trust me. Someone else said that the volume resets itself after you turn it off? Well that did not happen to me, I think it is because they let the game turn itself off instead of turning it off manually.
Finally, closing the flap will not turn off the game, but not using it for a minute will. The other way to turn the game off is to hold the B button for five seconds, as described in the instruction manual. Overall I really love this product. I even had a Baby Alive doll myself when they first came out in the seventies. They are much nicer now. The only reason I would not give this item great ratings accross the board is because buying the food can get really expensive. The doll is really fun to play with so kids like to feed it several times a day. That can get really pricey. I know some people use food coloring and water as a substitute but that does not have the baby food consistency that the kids love. The best recipe I have found so far uses a health food item. I own a few Trivial Pursuit games and I think they are pretty hard, so I was hesitant about getting this version even though it's a kids edition. My step-children found it a garage sale for only $[...] in mint condition, however, so we gave it a shot. Everyone loved it! The board and pieces are set up like the traditional Trivial Pursuit games with one notable exception - the questions are multiple choice. This really helps the kids and even the adults. I was able to figure out the answers to most questions even though I haven't watched any of the shows referenced (except SpongeBob). This is the best two pack from the series so far! Beachhead is basically the same except he comes with some groundbreaking accessories for the 25th Anniv. line. Beachhead has a great satchel with a removeable magazine, a maskless head (Terrific!), and a pull-down mask piece. Mainframe is great as well. He doesn't quite look like he did in the cartoon, but he is still a fantastic figure. Mainframe comes with an awesome portable computer, a sweet smg, and a remote/radio. Overall, this is my favorite two-pack set and I would highly, highly recommend this product!
