This present was one of the big hits for my grandsons. They are aged 5, 8, and 10. We were fortunate to have good weather Christmas Day and they had great fun shooting outside. We really like to have the "boys" run, and run, and run. They did not lose the darts, no one got hurt. And before they went outside, they played with the blaster inside with no damage to anything including the dog and cat. Great buy, I recommend it. I bought this game as a gift, and haven't yet heard how the recipient likes it, but after looking over the game myself, I am rather satisfied with what it is.

This particular version is a few years old and you can tell in the design, but it still functions like a Jeopardy game. The setup is quite straight forward, and while resetting in between rounds might be a slight hassle, overall it's rather user-friendly. The little thumb clickers for "buzzing in" are kind of cheesy because they are a glorified version of a bottle cap, and while I have not witnessed how well they work in-play, they would be my only harsh critique of the game.

My football fanatic son (12 years old) loves these things - we have them for a few other teams as well. They are not big enough for him to play with outside with his friends, but they are PERFECT for inside.

When we watch football, for 10+ hours every Sunday during football season, he wants a football in his hands at all times, and he loves to toss it up and down as he watches, or have a few passes with us during commercials. This ball is great for that because it's small so he can hold it in one hand and it's soft so I don't mind him tossing it in the house.

As I said, we have 3 or 4 of these so I can address durability: They last about 2 years and then they start peeling and crumbling. I think $15 is money well spent on 2 years of fun.

A word about price: Occasionally, and randomly, amazon will have one team or another's ball priced at $85 which is ridiculous. Of course I don't recommend buying these at that price!

Nerf toys are always a great choice for kids...a perfect birthday or Christmas present too! I get my boys a new Nerf or Nerf-like product every year for Christmas to add to their collection! They have great fun with them, and get them out of the house and away from video games! This one was not so great because the target got lost. The typical guns and ammo are the best because they can all be used together, and numerous kids can play at once. The target seemed to be for just one or two kids.

This version of the Monopoly game is Ok. The game pieces are excellent, the board is fair and the chance and other cards are quite cute. However, the money is small and there is not enough of it. It doesn't allow for that many players to play. The tin container is very efficient. For what I paid for it, it's darn right excellent. I paid $11.00 at Toys R Us several years ago during Christmas time. I couldn't believe it. It may have been a mistake on the store's part, Because everywhere else I looked it was about 50.00 bucks. This is a really cute game for the younger elementary set. My 6 year old and I can get through a game in 30 minutes, which is perfect for before dinner, or while his sister is in the bath. You MUST have seen the movie to play as it requires players to imitate characters from the movie. The "battles" are a matter of rolling dice to match pictures and it is very easy set up and very easy to play. My 3 year old was occupied with rolling the dice for me.

One thing you need to watch, though, and it bothers me a little, is that some of the impersonations require players to re-create bodily functions such as burping. Trying to teach my children manners takes a backseat here. They get off track and have silly little burp-fests going on. It can get tiring.

All in all, it is a good game and a perfect way to fill a half hour and spend some fun time with your kid!

The Classic Games Collection from Hasbro contains four games: Clue, Life, Monopoly, and Scrabble.

The best game of all four contained in the collection is undeniably Clue. It's too hard to play it with another player, and the more opponents involved, the better. Clue offers that with up to five computer players with three different levels: novice, normal, and expert. I went by each of three different levels, and there is a difference in terms of solving the mystery. The expert level feels pretty good and appropriate with no cheating like knowing the clues ahead of time or what cards I have. So, I was satisfied with the game play although I feel that every time somebody suggests three clues, it goes pretty fast. At the same time, it causes me a headache to watch the lighting and the animation video. If I turn it off, the asking of the clues goes real fast that I am more than certain to miss everything. It's just that I want to see that feature fixed up like the asking of each character in a list compiled by the computer. I don't want to use the auto-scribing of the clues because that completely takes away the basic concept of the game. Regardless, I've had a lot of fun playing Clue. As a word of warning, Clue will more likely not work on your PC because of some malfunction, but for me, it seemed to work just fine on my HP laptop with Vista Windows.

Life is, in my opinion, the worst game of this collection because it's so boring and requires nothing but luck. The game is mostly point-and-click and landing on spaces after a spin. My chief complaint of Life is that the game board is too big to see everything. So, if I want to see the spinner, I can't see where I am moving to, and if I want to see where I am moving to, I can't see the spinner. Most of the time, I don't know what the heck is going on except for pluses and minuses of the monetary sums. After a while, the game gets dreadfully boring. For anyone else interested and liked the game a lot, the CD works fine without a glitch.

Monopoly is a game I've liked but gotten bored after a few games. The concept behind Monopoly is pretty simple: get the grouped cards, build houses/hotels, and grab the money. The hardest part of the game is getting the grouped cards especially with as many as five opponents. Luckily, Monopoly allows trading, and that's where your game either gets made or broken. Like Clue, there are three levels of AI's intelligence, and I find the Tycoon level the hardest and haven't beaten that one yet. Still, I am pretty impressed overall. The game can be slow because I have to wait for each opponent to roll and move his piece, but worse is the annoying trade proposals which will halt the game for a while because I have to watch them. Overall, Monopoly is a very decently made PC game without any glitch.

Scrabble is actually a game for me because I've thought myself as a semi-hardcore player at it, but I've quit it due to addiction. There are many levels of AI's intelligence, and don't be angry that you find some of them extremely unfair. It's so because they know the dictionary inside-and-out, and yes...the words are valid, if you can believe it or not. So, how to get back to the AI: simple...memorize the dictionary. That's all there is to it. The CD went without a glitch.

Serpentor seemed completely unnecessary (I didn't learn about how Hasbro was just trying to make more money until years later). However, he did have one of the coolest costumes of a G.I. Joe action figure ever. As part of the first wave of 25th Anniversary toys, Serpentor has been reintroduced in all of his imperial glory. I'm not sure why he's in the first line being re-issued since he didn't exist until the original G.I. Joe cartoon had been around for a couple of years, but apparently Hasbro thinks he's important. well i guess if you never played with transformers as a kid you don't understand how they work. you really have to pop them hard into place. if you don't, it WILL fall apart. and you have to push HARD to get them to make certain positions, etc. i can see how those not familiar might either be concerned if they push too hard it will break or think they have it locked in place but they really don't. it may take some tinkering to get it right if you aren't very familiar with the concept.

otherwise, for us (both my husband and i loved transformers as a kid and star wars) this was lots of fun to put together! and my son has gotten HOURS of play and enjoyment. my only complaint is that i can't readily find replacement gun parts. my son took the falcon over to a friends where there was a 2 year old- who shot it and lost the parts. :(
