My 5 1/2 year old daughter got this toy for Christmas. She has seen it in the store for months and been begging for it, so Santa ponied up and brought it to her. We've had her less than a week, and the doll is already beginning to deteriorate. The doll 's hair is the first strike. She looks like she got some really bad hair plugs. Even my daughter has noticed how ugly it is. It is very poor quality.
The other reviews are true, the doll is a money sucker and continually needs to eat and have diaper changes. That doesn't bug me so much yet, I realize that is what she's suppose to do. But be prepared, every time she is turned on she wants to eat and drink. My daughter is afraid the doll won't live through the night if she's not fed.
The biggest problem I have with this doll is that her facial skin is nasty. It is made of some weird material that gets dirt stuck in it, all the time. It doesn't wipe off, I am continually cleaning this face. My daughter has had it less than a week, isn't a very messy girl, and the doll's face is already stained with weird particles. The doll's lips have also lost there pink, they began losing their pink with the first bottle of water my daughter fed her.
My last complaint is that the doll's diaper leaks with a full bottle of water and bowl of food. Its gross. I hate changing my own kid's buns, let alone a leaky doll. My daughter needs help getting the food prepared, cleaning the doll after she eats, and changing her diaper. This toy is definitely one for the parent to do with child.

We've had our Puppy Pals Bingo for a couple of years now and it remains a favorite in our house. Gameplay length is perfect for the attention span of preschoolers and early grade kids.

Educational value is in recognition of shapes, colors and patterns. The cards are double-sided so there's plenty of variation. My kids love to play "Puppy Bingo."

The only drawback to the game is that like other Cranium preschool games we own, it goes not store well. The box would not stay closed and several of the bingo chips have gotten lost along the way (probably some cards as well). If you buy the game, I recommend getting a small, flat plastic container to store the cards, chips (in a baggie), cards and puppies in. It will save a lot of hassle and keep your enjoyment high.

We received this toy as a gift for my 16 month child and found out early on that the magnet is NOT attracted to any metal of any type. So being the tinker that I am, I took the magnet section apart to find that THERE IS NO MAGNET IN THERE! There was just 3 washers (like the metals discs with holes in the middle of them) and they weren't magnetized at all. I tried sticking one of my own magnets in there but I do not have a strong enough magnet. It just didn't work. My 6 year old daughter is a LPS enthusiast, so she happily spent her allowance on this game. It comes with 52 cards featuring 13 different pets. There are several variations of the game that can be played depending upon the cognitive ability of your youngster. You can play a memory game by matching 2 cards and turning them over, you can play go fish, or make up your own game. There are a couple reasons why we love this version. First is that the game doesn't go on forever. With the addition of Order 66, the game comes to a point where it wraps up nicely. Second is that you can play in teams. With 2 rebel colors and 2 separatist colors you can pair up however you'd like (or 2 against 1 with 3 players). And of course, you can also rule out the additional elements and just do a regular Risk battle for control of the galaxy every person for themselves.

I really wanted to like this game, but there are serious problems with the version that comes in the blue box.

1. The pegs fall out of the vertical board. This is a serious game play issue because you cannot tell where you have fired or scanned.
2. The voice is VERY difficult to understand.

I cannot emphasize this enough...DO NOT buy the version in the blue box. It stinks. I was able to contact Hasbro (not an easy feat because their phone line is CONSTANTLY busy, you have to wait on hold for about ten minutes and their operators hung up on me twice [accidentally I hope] before I got to speak to them), and they sent me an entirely new unit in the green box. The presentation of the game is fantastic! It's colorful, very reminiscent of the tv show, and I was so excited to start playing. The format is easy to understand and the cards are well constructed with lots of categories and songs to choose from. Yes, I'd love to give this game a better score, but the selection of songs prevents me from doing that. My group knew somewhere around 70 of the songs (literally about 7 songs per category), but that left probably around 280 songs that we hadn't even heard of. Odder still, the selection of songs in each category wasn't even close to what we had hoped for. For instance, in the category of Pop, the song selection we knew consisted mainly of Xmas songs like Jingle Bells and The Little Drummer Boy. That's all they could come up with?

With a wide range of categories which includes: Rhythm & Blues, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, Rock, Pop, Country, Divas, Love Songs, & Million Dollar Songs-they should have ushered in the karaoke favorites the way the show does. While some of the classics from each decade are there, most aren't-and that's very disappointing. Worse off, for the choices they used to be so obscure that none of us had heard of them...it takes all of the fun right out of the game.

We love the idea of the game so much, we've considered making our own cards (and have even begun the arduous process...ugh! Got through about five of them and then gave up for the time being). I'll give this game a 3, just for the potential it could have had.
