I purchased this game set as a gift for my 12 year old son's birthday. I know he really enjoys playing it with his siblings and friends. The strategy required to play it makes it at least moderately educational. Be forewarned that many of the character pieces are small and somewhat brittle if your children sometimes pick up their toys like mine do!
