Firstly, I got this at Wal-Mart for $5. The assembly was simple with well-written instructions. Three 1.5V "C" batteries are required [not included] and you'll also need a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws. If the instructions are followed, there'll be no problems with the assembly.
The tower itself holds up quite well, and has withstood the constant whacking by my four-year-old. There are 4 games that can be played on this toy, i.e. Hammer Time [1 or more players], Lights Out [1 or more players], Hit 100 [1 or more players], and 0 to 60 [2 player head-to-head challenge].
The rules for the four games are easy to follow and should provide some fun to younger children [ages 3 and up]. I would caution parents to supervise younger children as the "hammer" is made of heavy plastic and quite hefty so there is a possibility of injury or breaking things.Buy Whac a Mole Tower!
